#DL Summit Workshop: Lean Business Experiments11. Oktober 2022
We all know that we should conduct experiments to build better products faster. But how? We will show you how to uncover, prioritize, and experiment with the assumptions in your business model in a lean and affordable way.
About the Workshop
Date & Location: 15th of November 2022, 10 am to 5 pm — STARTPLATZ, Cologne
Trainer: Frederik Vosberg and Timothy Krechel
This workshop is part of our Pre-Conference Workshop Day for Digitale Leute Summit 2022.
It is common sense that product success depends particularly on building the right product and features with limited resources. But how can this be done in a structured way?
Frederik and Timothy show you why an experimental approach will take you further. They start with how to build the business model behind your product in a lean way and identify and prioritize the underlying assumptions.
In the afternoon, you will be given a repertoire of lightweight experiments that cover almost every use case. At the end, you will design together a very concrete experiment to validate a new business idea.
After the workshop, you will know …
… several experiments that you could use to investigate assumptions in a lean, cheap and fast way. To do this, you can identify and prioritize the assumptions in your business model as a team. In short, you know how to develop products in a truly agile way.
Who should attend
This workshop is for anyone who is involved in planning new product ideas or features on a professional or part-time basis.
About Frederik and Timothy
Frederik has worked as a software engineer for a small start-up to change the world and get rich through his shares. Unfortunately, this start-up failed the same way many do. The niche wasn’t focused enough, so the MVP was too big to implement it with the resources at their hands. Eventually, this drove him to build a business unit that helps corporates to apply start-up techniques.
Timothy failed to reach product-market fit with his own startup. Having been through this painful experience himself and seeing others make the same mistakes in different environments (corporates, founders) made him focus on early product validation whenever he is launching something new and sharing it!
STARTPLATZ is a startup incubator and accelerator with branches in Cologne and Düsseldorf and functions as a hub for the local founders’ scene. It was founded in 2012 by Dr Lorenz Gräf and Matthias Gräf. On approximately 4.500 square meters in Cologne Mediapark and 1.900 square meters in Düsseldorf’s MedienHafen, an ecosystem was created that offers aspiring startups and innovative companies space for growth, advice & coaching, workshops & events, as well as a connection to the large network. More than 200 startups have already worked on their business ideas, over 20 million euros have been invested in them, and more than 135 teams have participated in the accelerator program. In cooperation with partners from the ecosystem, STARTPLATZ also offers companies and medium-sized enterprises various solutions from the startup world to implement and promote digitization and innovative processes successfully.
