Alexander Hüsing began his journalistic career in 1996 as a freelancer for the „Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung“. During his studies (history, politics and Eastern European history), the Bottrop native joined „Unicum“ in Bochum as a one-year intern in April 1999. From the university magazine, his path led to „kressreport“ in March 2000 and the long-awaited traineeship. Until September 2003, he worked in various positions at the Heidelberg-based industry service – most recently as editor in charge of the Internet department. Since 2007 he is co-founder and editor-in-chief of deutsche-startups.de

Sven Schmidt, Managing Director Marketing & Sales at Maschinensucher.de, is best known in the digital scene for his appearances on the podcasts of OMR and Deutsche Startups. After studying business administration in Düsseldorf, Leipzig and the USA, he started his career as a management consultant at McKinsey. In the last 20 years, Schmidt has left his mark on the digital industry as the founder of the ticketing platform getgo.de, which was sold to CTS Eventim, as venture partner at Accel Partners and as managing partner of the company builder and investor ICS (Internet Consumer Services).
