Gertrud has been the CTO of Scout24 since 2024, where she shapes the company’s technological vision as part of the Executive Leadership Team. Previously, she served as CTO at eyeo, a company dedicated to developing solutions for a fair and sustainably financed internet. There, she oversaw the development of products including the popular browser extension Adblock Plus, which enables users to block intrusive online ads. Before that, she held several leadership roles at Axel Springer, including CTO of the national digital brands BILD and Welt, and played a key role in founding Axel Springer National Media & Tech. Gertrud began her career in retail software development as a software developer and project manager for national and international clients.
